About Ryan Mitchell
Fifteen years covering technology markets. Now focused on AI automation and what it actually means for the people building with it.
I've spent fifteen years watching markets break, technologies emerge, and businesses either adapt or disappear. That's not a boast — it's context for why I started SochiLab.
Most tech media operates on a simple formula: announce what's new, explain what it does, move on to the next story. What gets left behind is the part that actually matters — what it means for the people trying to build something with it.
What I Cover
SochiLab is focused on the intersection of artificial intelligence, business strategy, and practical automation. Not the hype cycle. Not the funding announcements. The actual mechanics of how AI tools are reshaping how income is built, businesses are run, and decisions are made.
- AI automation and workflow systems — what works in production, not just in demos
- Digital business models — how creators, founders, and freelancers are monetizing AI capabilities
- Market signals and competitive shifts — when a technology trend becomes a genuine structural change
- Tools analysis — honest, comparative reviews that cut through vendor messaging
The Perspective I Bring
My background is in economics and business journalism. I've covered enterprise technology for publications across Asia and North America, tracked markets through two major downturns, and spent the better part of the last five years embedded with early-stage AI companies watching them figure out what product-market fit actually looks like when your core technology is changing every six months.
Here's what I've learned: the people who win with AI aren't necessarily the most technically sophisticated. They're the ones who understand the business logic clearly enough to know which tools to use, when to automate, and when human judgment is still the only thing that works.
That's the lens I write through.
Why SochiLab
I started SochiLab because I kept having the same conversation with founders, operators, and independent builders who were drowning in information but starved for insight. They knew AI was important. They didn't know what to actually do with it in their specific context.
SochiLab exists to answer that question — consistently, honestly, and with enough depth that you can actually act on it.
Three posts a day. Every post researched and written to give you something you can use.
Get in Touch
If you're building something interesting with AI automation, or if you've spotted a trend I should be paying attention to, I want to hear about it. The best analysis comes from staying close to the people doing the work.
